צוֹרְכָא, צוֹרְכָהch. 1) same. Targ. O. Deut. 2:7 (Y. Pl.) Targ. 1 Kings 5:22; a. fr.Euphem. Targ. Y. Ex. 7:23 (h. text ויפן, v. פָּנָה). Targ. 1 Sam. 24:4; a. e.Y.Dem.VI, 25d bot. צ׳ לדן וצ׳ לדן both conditions are required. Y.Ḥag.I, 76a top הוי צ׳ לההואוכ׳ therefore we need the opinion of Y.Shebi.III, 34c bot. דאזיל ליה לצוֹרְכֵה who goes out to ease his bowels.Y.Peah II, beg., 16d (read) מכיון דתנינן דרך היחיד דרך הרבים מה צ׳ אתא מימר לךוכ׳ (v. Asheri to Peah II, 1) since the Mishnah mentions private roads, what need was there to add ‘and public roads? It is to tell thee Ib. (read:) לא צ׳ אלא אי קדשה … אי לא קידשה it was only necessary to discuss, whether or not he sanctified it as the share of the poor Y.Pes.VII, 34d sq. לא צ׳ דלא אמרוכ׳ it is needless to say (it is self-evident) that not (that we do not listen to him), and if he says …, we surely do not Ib. II, end, 29c לא צ׳ דלא הכהניםוכ׳ it is self-evident that not (that they dare not use tepid water), but how about the priests themselves, dare they ? Y.Ber.II, 5b bot. (on the text Cant. 6:2) לא צ׳ אלא דודי ירד לגנו לרעות בגנים there would have been no need to say any more than ‘my beloved went to his garden to feed in the gardens (leaving out לערוגות הבשם). Y.Succ.V, beg.55a (ref. to Jon. 1:3) לא צ׳ דילא וירד עכו it ought not to read otherwise than ‘he went down to Acco (the nearest harbor to Zarephath, why, then, does it say, he went to Japho?); Yalk.
